How many outfits should I pack?

I am going away for four weeks to Europe and I am planning to shop a little there, what kind of clothes and how many outfits should I pack with me?
I am going to Austria and Switzerland
hey, take no more than 7 outfits.. definitely DO NOT pack for all four weeks, that’s just stupid! since you’re going to austria and switz, take summer wear, but do remember to pack in one jumper/sweater, a jacket and a hat - this is because you’ll most probably visit the alps, etc, and these are snow-capped 365 days a year, so still quite cool. also, without a doubt, take your comfortable walking/sports shoes. and yes, if you plan to visit anywhere romantic/formal (e.g. casinos, top restaurants, clubs), then it’s quintessential you have a formal outfit with you - either your national dress or then shirt, skirt/trousers (no jeans), shoes (no sports shoes).
i’m austrian and had been to switz in peak july season, and trust me you, i needed the wools the day we went on the alps! also, make sure that if you’re going to switz, you visit the Jungfraujoch mountains - out of this world….. you’ll never see anything quite as beautiful! enjoy your trip
